Founded by Romina Gonzales and Edison Zapata in 2011, Off Centre Brooklyn based handmade glass vessels and fixtures design studio that address materiality, process and experimentation.
Off-center, in glassblowing vocabulary, refers to a shape displaced from its and is considered a fault that needs immediate solution.
Off Centre take advantage of situations that can be seen as mistakes and exploit them to create distinctive visual languages and aesthetic experiences.
Since its inception in 2011 by Romina Gonzales and Edison Zapata, Off Centre’s aim is to circumvent traditional processes, and approach “making” with naivety and reckless experimental abandon.
All Off Centre’s glass pieces are hand-made at Brooklyn Glass and Urban Glass studios in New York city.
